That’s nice. Now why did there have to be a huge deal made about Nadal playing? Complete with a comment from Nadal and everything: “Right now I’m with Tommy (Robredo) and at Indian Wells I’ll go with David Ferrer to prepare […]

Andy Murray sent Mario Ancic packing in the Marseille Open, beating the Croatian 6-3, 6-4 to win the title. Djokovic Out, Henin Moves On

The top two seeds at the Open 13 are gone. And when I say gone, I mean Novak Djokovic and Richard Gasquet won’t be challenging anyone for a title in this tournament because they’ve been ousted.
Defending champ Gilles Simon pulled off the 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 upset over Djokovic and Gasquet dropped out to the tune […]

Rafa Gives Back to Society

I think I’ve touched on this before, but I’ve harped on widely popular professional athletes for being wrapped up in their own worlds. Basically - a lot of them are jerks. Is that a blanket statement? Yes. Am I aware there are plenty of nice professional athletes out there? You betcha.
Rafael Nadal launched a foundation […]

Bettors ejected from Diamond Games

There were no nuggets of betting information to be had at the Diamond Games as three spectators were ejected from the stands for online betting.
The three were suspected of capitalizing off the split second differential between when a point was played on the court to when it was posted to the official online scoring page.
But […]

It took three sets for Anna Chakvetadze to win the Paris Indoors Open. The 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Agnes Szavay gave the Russian her seventh title.
Chakvetadze had to call in the trainer after losing the second set for a shoulder injury and managed to pull it together to eke out the win.
Before Chakvetadze climbed […]
