A Bit Closer this Time
Well, I have been sadly absent for the past couple of days. After celebrating Thanksgiving with my adopted family who lives in the boonies with no internet access. Honestly? It was refreshing to “get away from it all.”
Anyway. Tennis. I’m sure my holiday tales aren’t as interesting as they seem to me.
Roger Federer took the second match in his exhibition series with Pete Sampras but it was a touch closer this time. Both sets went to a tiebreak with Federer winning both of them.
I’m not really surprised by this. I’m also not surprised that, when either Sampras or Federer talk to the press, they have nothing but nice, praise-worthy things to say about the other. Roger talks about how great Sampras still is and Pete comments about the arsenal of tools Federer has at his command.
Now I know tennis has enough controversy - what with the gambling and whatnot. But wouldn’t it be interesting if Roger bragged about how amazing he was at tennis or said Pete had lost his tennis game?
Just sayin’.
