Australian Open Day 2
There’s nothing better than coming home from a day of work (a Monday day of work no less) and kicking back on the couch with a couple of pillows and flipping on coverage of the Australian Open.
WOW! I just saw an amazing point won by Marcos Baghdatis over Thomas Johansson. I can’t even describe it other than they were both all over the court and making unbelievable shots. Did I mention I love tennis?
Novak Djokovic has dispatched Benjamin Becker (6-0, 6-2, 7-6) and done one of his widely known impressions (Maria Sharapova was again the culprit…hahaha). Djokovic is fun to watch. He’s an emotional player - whether that helps his game or not - it’s more fun for the viewer than watching Stony McGee.
Oh, I also misspoke about the women’s draw the other day. I flubbed and said Justine Henin needed to make it through Sharapova to get to the quarters - I meant to say they have the potential of meeting in the quarters. Sometimes my brain *shakes head.*
Cheers to you and your viewing of the Australian Open - I can be nothing but envious if you’re actually in attendance!
