Bettors ejected from Diamond Games
There were no nuggets of betting information to be had at the Diamond Games as three spectators were ejected from the stands for online betting.
The three were suspected of capitalizing off the split second differential between when a point was played on the court to when it was posted to the official online scoring page.
But ejection is a little strong and not really true. The trio was given the option of handing over their laptops or leaving - they chose the latter. Ejection implies they had no choice, but they did. Somewhat of a minute point but I like those type.
Although I guess photo ops were done of the trio to prevent them trying to enter later on the tournament.
The moral of the story? If you’re going to bet online during a tennis match, don’t let the ushers see you.
