Disruptive Fans at Australian Open
Fans just aren’t what they used to be, are they?
Yesterday a match was halted between Fernando Gonzalez and Konstantinos Economidis while police ejected several spectators. It wasn’t clear what exactly they were thrown out for, but Victoria Police Superintendent John Cooke said some of them could be charged with assault, failure to obey police or offensive language.
Why can’t people just show up to a match and support their player in a positive manner?
But maybe I’m old-school. Being nice isn’t the cool way to be these days apparently.
