Isner Serves Up Hruby
I found this on ESPN today while I was avoiding some of my work. It cracked me up so much that I had to share it with you all.
Patrick Hruby had a serving session with John Isner. Mostly, it consisted of Isner blowing is 140-mph serves past a drop-mouthed Hruby. Who, by the way, was decked out in a catcher’s protective vest and catcher’s mask. And volleyball knee pads.
At 6-foot 9-inches, Isner is formidable from the service line to any professional tennis player facing him across the net. For a less-than-amatuer player, it’s like being “a shooting range target silhouette.”
I don’t want to ruin the rest of it for you. Check this article out - Hruby’s tennis skills are extremely sad-looking, but when I stop to think about how I would look with a round piece of yellow fuzz heading my way at 140mph, I stop judging.

Hruby had me cracking up after reading his lengthy article. I like how he found the odd incidents of people losing their eyesiht and having “altered” personalities after being hit in the groin. Amusing article for sure.

I thought it was great. I figured if I was laughing, others would be too!
