Making Mistakes?
Tennis King, Roger Federer, says that’s okay. Flipping back through some old columns, I found one that had quoted Roger about his style of dress.
“Then, I started to really enjoy dressing up. What is my style? Is it a suit? Is it casual? What is it? I’m young now. So I can make mistakes with my choices. It’s a way to discover what I like, who I am.”
I thought those words were relevant, not only to a style of dress or to the game of tennis but to life, ya know? Obviously Roger has evolved. Look at the man - remember the first Wimbledon he won in 2003? The long hair, the incredible bursts of emotion…today’s Roger is so GQ. He’s got the tuxedo shorts and the crested blazer. He’s got the hair and the calm, confident exterior so few people manage to crack.
Here is a man who appears to be able to do no wrong and he’s saying he can make mistakes with his choices?
That’s great news - there’s still hope for us little people down the ladder!
