What’s going on Down Under? They’re dropping like flies!
David Nalbandian withdrew from the Kooyong tournament after suffering a back injury while warming up with Marat Safin. Nalbandian wrapped up the 2007 season with a flurry of a pair of wins over both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Psh, no big deal. Riiiiiight.
Nalbandian is now on the “I’m not sure I’ll be playing the Australian Open” list and is the third high-profile player to leave the Kooyong tourney behind Federer and Tommy Haas. At this rate, there’s going to be nobody but high school kids and their moms playing the Aussie!
