Not another epic for Nadal
In fact, it could quite possibly be called a disaster for the world No. 2. No, I really think it should be labeled a horribly awful failing of a person’s game of tennis. (Sorry, Rafael Nadal, but it’s true buddy.)
Mikhail Youzhny won the Chennai Open quite handily with a 6-0, 6-1 whipping of Nadal Sunday. Nadal’s “epic” match against Carlos Moya yesterday may have drained the top-seeded Nadal. It only took Youzhny 57 minutes to claim his fourth career title.
Both players were gracious in their words towards the other as Youzhny said, “Rafa was not Rafa, I did not play against him today. I was lucky as he just couldn’t move and couldn’t play.”
Nadal was just as humble with his words, “Maybe I was a bit tired after the long semifinal, but I lost the final because Mikhail played very well.”
So there you have it. Youzhny wins his first tournament of the year and Nadal has some resting up to do.

What?? WOW, what a whipping. When’s the last time Rafa lost like that?
And Federer drops a few matches (none of them routs) and people think it’s the beginning of the end for the Roge. Pffft.

I know - I almost started feeling bad for Rafa, but you start feeling bad for one and before you know it, you’re feeling bad for them all. And that’s something for which I will not stand!
