Stripes are in this fall
A while back, I blogged about Claire Lyte and her, ah, indiscretions with her teenage tennis client.
After a drawn-out trial, Lyte was jailed Friday. (I really wanted to say “thrown in the slammer” but I’m attempting to be Englishly genteel.) Lyte was convicted last month on four counts of sexual activity with a 13-year-old. Lyte’s sentence was two years and nine months.
Along with being a sports nut, I also graduated with my degree in criminal justice. There’s all types of arguments about whether sentences should be more or less harsh. What type of incarceration - probation, half-way houses, shock incarceration, so on and so forth. In Lyte’s case?
You do the crime, you do the time.
