Victory is sweet. So is being right.
Not that I’m patting myself on the back here. In fact, I didn’t even say it outright but I certainly alluded to the fact that Andy Murray’s decision to hire a team of coaches might not be the best choice for him.
I didn’t really need former Wimbledon champion Michael Stich to agree with me, but it’s nice he had the same opinion as I did.
“You need one person in charge - who should be the coach - who is also dealing with all the other people in your team,” said Stich. “I think it can be dangerous having a big entourage, but Andy has to find out himself.”
Well. You can’t get much more plain than that, can you? But, by all means Andy, go on and gather you’re entouarge. I’m all about letting people fall down to learn their lessons the best way.
